Italian Meatball Hoagies

From "The Overworked Mom's Stress Free HomeKeeping" by Laura Dellutri

  • 2 lb. Italian sausage or ground beef (or a mixture of the two)
  • 1 tsp. garlic
  • 1 tsp. parsley
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1?2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 c. breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 2 16-oz jars of spaghetti sauce or 2 RaguŽ Pasta Sauce Pouch

Combine all ingredients except sauce in large bowl, shape into meatballs, and brown lightly on all sides. Place meatballs in crock-pot and pour sauce on top. Cook 4 hours on medium heat. Serve with pasta or on buns.

NOTE: This recipe serves 6-8 and can be prepared in crock-pots that hold anywhere from 3-l/2 to 5 quarts. Cooking time may vary according to your preferences regarding the texture of the food.
